Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dipatoli, Ranchi, one of the biggest vidyalaya of KVS Bhubaneshwar Region was established in the year 1979.Vidyalaya is governed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (K V S) in all respect. Previous year this vidyalaya has been selected as one of the MODEL Vidyalayas. It is located about 2 km from “Booti More, Ranchi” and situated opposite to the 23 Infantry Division Head Quarter with the Cockerel Orchard to its left and officer’s enclave to its right.

The ‘L’ shaped building is airy and light. The vidyalaya has a campus of about    15 acres of land. We have student strength of about 1300 with three sections in each class from I to XII this vidyalaya is one of the largest in Bhubaneshwar Region and has the distinction of being the only KV in Ranchi that offers the three streams of science, commerce and Arts at the  +2 level. The vidyalaya is proud of its team of highly qualified and talented staff members. At present there are 70 staff members including teaching & non teaching staff.

Vidyalaya is managed by  19 Chairmen and 9 Principals  to  till Date.

The vidyalaya has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography. There are separate rooms for examination, Art, Music and SUPW. At present it has 26 computers for providing education in Information Technology, The vidyalaya has a very rich library having about 10,000 books.

This creates awareness and promotes concerns for the environment among the student.

The vidyalaya provides ample opportunities to inculcate a congenial environment for all round development of the child’s personality and it also provide a wide range of opportunities in the field of art /literature/Sports and Games/ Scout and guide activities and provides exposure the at national level.

The aim of the vidyalaya is to prepare our student to rise to the occasion and except new and novel challenges.
